Orbera-non-surgical-weight-loss

Orbera can help you lose three times the weight compared to diet and exercise.

Orbera helps facilitate weight loss by taking up space in your stomach so you eat less. Orbera isn’t a shortcut: It’s a tool for learning how to take control of the way that you eat.

Here's how it works: A deflated balloon is inserted into your stomach and then is filled to the size of a grapefruit. The entire process usually takes 20 minutes, and most people go home hours later.

We're In This Together

Orbera is a twelve month journey, and getting the most out of this system means having a team devoted to your success. If Orbera is right for you, our group helps you use it to change your eating behaviors, and sustain that progress long after the balloon is removed.

During your weight loss journey, you will receive professional nutrition and exercise support to help you make the lifestyle changes that promote weight loss via a team of physicians, physiologists, and nutritionists. Orbera supports you in changing your eating habits and keeping the weight off for the long term.

Placing Orbera

The placement of Orbera is done via a minimally invasive endoscopic procedure. The balloon is removed after six months, and another six-month healthy diet and exercise plan follows the removal.

Orbera can assist with your weight loss efforts, but your weight loss success is also dependent on your readiness to develop new lifestyle skills. The degree of long-term weight loss will depend on your ability to modify your lifestyle and maintain this behavior after the balloon is removed. It is important that you discuss your willingness to accept this commitment with your physician before choosing Orbera.

Am I a Candidate?

Only a physician can tell you whether or not Orbera is right for you. That’s why scheduling a consultation is so important.

But if you’ve tried diet and exercise without success, Orbera might be the tool that helps you to take control.

For some patients, Orbera is not a good fit. Your doctor will ask you about your medical history and will also perform a physical examination to determine your eligibility for the device. Additionally, at the time of placement, the doctor may identify internal factors, such as stomach irritation or ulcers, which may reveal that Orbera is not the best option for you.

About the Orbera program

Is it Worth It?

Orbera patients validate that Orbera was worth it. For many, it was the last thing they tried and the first thing that worked for weight loss success.
